The Yearly Sizzle

September 25, 2009, this blog posted a piece called: “Why I love the Internet: Reason 517,” a literary masterpiece in 59 words expressing the author’s awe and amazement at the spectacle of European Truck Racing.

Those were better times.

Fast forward to today, and this site is in shambles. Neglected, unloved and abandoned, it’s basically the Detroit of the Internet.  What was once the majestic, towering center of wisdom, wit and love has been been reduced to a few rusty words and urine-soaked HTML tags.

Lots has changed in the last year.  RP moved away, pursuing big city dreams, and MtK stayed put in his 2 cow town [the two cows welcomed their calf Belinda in March, now making this a three cow town -Ed.].  New albums have come out, our passions have converged and diverged in places, and we both became iPad-owning douchebags [we pretty accurately predicted the iPad—albeit early—in this post].

In conclusion, perhaps this post is a recap of what happened to this site, or perhaps this post is a plea for my compatriot and destroyer of worlds to rejoin me, to rebuild and occasionally use this site as an outlet for the things we want to say that no one else wants to hear.
