Video Games

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars [DS]

RP: Grand Theft Auto in a portable format seems like a difficult feat to accomplish. This game has gotten great reviews. But every GTA game gets great reviews because they generally have engrossing storylines and plenty of extra crap to do. Even if the medium isan’t expanding very much.
MtK: What actually surprised me here—SHOCKED—is that they touted this “new” top down format to GTA. Really? Am I the only one that remembers that the SERIES STARTED THIS WAY with GTA I and II?

Movies

Sin Nombre
RP: Don’t get excited, its not a sequel to Nacho Libre where Jack Black goes to some backwards world and has to defeat the devil with mexican wrestling moves.
MtK: I think that it’s sad commentary that I really don’t even know half the movies you mention here, RP. But speaking of movies, I was thinking…we really should write a movie.

DVD

Jag: Season 8
RP: HOW IN THE NAME OF GOD DID THAT HAPPEN?!?
MtK: EIGHT SEASONS? Holy crap. If I knew that the career would give me 8 years of viability, I’d TOTALLY become a fighter-jet-pilot-lawyer whatever it is they do. JAG.

Twilight
RP: I’m going to use this opportunity to tell you how completely awful I feel twilight is.

MtK: Out in Seattle it was like Twighlight mania—I guess cuz it takes place out there or something. But like, every gift shop was selling vampire themed shit right along Space Needle salt and pepper shakers.

Dan Deacon: Bromst
RP: Wham City was a fucking work of genius. Baltimore based Glitchy-Cracked out-casio weilding God. The Strobing green skull that lights up his concerts are living proof that drugs arent all that bad after all.
MtK: Much like the movies, the music you pick is proof that I am irrelvant. Or you have weird taste. Anyway, Baltimore has incredibly high rates of syphillis. ***The more you know!***

MSTRKRFT: Fist of God

RP: I would see him live just to tell him that DFA79 breaking up was probably one of the most traumatic music related experiences of the past 5 years.
MtK: You know what I miss? I miss KRFT MCRN + CHZ.
